Review: Bizerba UK at Foodex 2018
From 16-18 April, Bizerba UK participated in the Foodex 2018 exhibition with two booths co-located across the aisle from each other, comprising a 45sqm booth showcasing our Retail and Food Processing equipment and a 90sqm booth for our Industry Solutions.
For Retail we showcased the full range from SCII 800 entry level scale printer which can be used in labelling or till mode and connected to a cash drawer and barcode scanner through to our flagship KHII 800 T/E PC based scale with 12” Operator and Customer interfaces. The KHII was exhibited in multiple options to display our Trace Listing App, allowing full management and printing of origin data from the supply chain and our Easy Order App that streamlines the management of customer orders through the scale system.
A high-light feature was our Zero Waste Food Shop Scales & Wall, utilising a bespoke display unit from our partners at Unpackaged Innovations and the XC 800 with extra-large 15” Operator Touchscreen – ideal for Self Service. This was a perfect way of showing the new Zero Waste store concept specially designed for self-weighing of customer containers prior to filling.
The Retail area was also complimented by the XC800 PRO with new 10” customer facing display for increased advertising impact to increase sales, the XC300 compact PC based labeller with touchscreen and optional weighing platform and finally the MC500 aware winning concept for Self Service.
Food Processing was a complete selection running from the GSP-H manual premium gravity feed slicer through to VSi and A550 fully automatic high performance slicers with integrated weighing technology.
Bizerba UK at Foodex 2018 – Industry
Our Industry Solutions offering contained elements from all product groups; weigh labelling, checkweighing, inspection, industrial weighing & terminals and software.
The GLM-I 120C – part of the Bizerba flagship range of high speed labelling systems, capable of achieving a top speed of 120 packages per minute whilst accurately and reliably wrapping each label around the product package. SealSecure L for end of line inspection, ensuring each package exits the factory fully inspected for label data and seal integrity and LabelSecure Basic, the introductory level inspection device with the ability to check fixed data on pre-printed films. In addition, the Entry Level X-Ray, the latest presentation in our inspection range of equipment.
Our newest industrial PC, the iS75, was utilised across multiple applications including displaying the information being gathered from the devices being shown on this stand; as part of the Bizerba/Niche Recipe Station, a Portion Control System and our specially designed Production Bench with a selection of platforms recessing into the table linked to a variety of weighing indicators.
Demonstrating our latest addition to the Checkweigher range was the CWH Combination Unit with IP65 Hygienic design, resulting in only four feet on the floor and not external cabling.
The iS20 Hygienic Scale was displayed within an isolated chamber showing water being sprayed on this device for the duration of the Foodex Show.
An opportunity to put as much of the Bizerba portfolio on display under one roof, we came away from last weeks show with orders taken on stand and 169 quality leads which are now being diligently followed up.
